Beta Group understands the critical role that Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems play in maintaining a safe working environment. Our team of highly skilled engineers, holding P601 qualifications, are dedicated to providing thorough LEV testing and ensuring compliance with the HSG258 guidelines set by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
As most airborne paint mist is invisible, it is important that spray booth users know exactly how long it takes to clear isocyanate particles from the area. Spraybooth clearance times should be displayed outside the booth to ensure engineers know when it is safe to re-enter, as exposure to high levels of isocyanate particles can lead to occupational asthma.
Thorough Examination & Testing of LEV Systems is required under COSHH Legislation at intervals not to exceed 14 months. LEV Systems are equipment include spray booths and dust extraction systems.

Comprehensive Inspection and Testing
Our engineers perform a detailed examination of your LEV system to ensure it operates efficiently and safely. Our testing process includes:
Smoke / mist clearance
Smoke is generated to replicate the behaviour of isocyanate. This enables us to measure the clearance time and recommend safety precautions to avoid exposure.
Certification and documentation
Upon completing the examination and testing, we provide a comprehensive report and certification that confirm compliance with HSG258 guidelines. This documentation is crucial for maintaining records and demonstrating your commitment to workplace safety.
